About Effervescence

Champagne educator Amanda Reboul was in France visiting both world famous and boutique champagne houses when the seed of an idea was planted.

Her inspiration? To bring the essence of Champagne the region and champagne the wine to Australia.

And so Effervescence was born. A unique event for dedicated champagne enthusiasts and interested novices alike, Effervescence will take place this August with a backdrop of glorious blue skies and autumnal–hued hills at Spicers Hidden Vale, just one hour from Brisbane.

The inaugural event was held in August 2016, celebrating everything champagne, with tastings and masterclasses guiding guests through the different regions and styles of the world’s most loved wine.

Representatives from major and smaller family-owned champagne houses will be in attendance, along with champagne experts such as Vin de Champagne award winner, David Donald, offering the opportunity to taste and talk to people in the know; both makers and educators.

Guest were able to come for the day and walk the ‘champagne trail’ with stations set over the stunning 12,000 acre property or book one of the special VIP weekend packages with luxury accommodation and food from Spicers own hatted restaurant.
